Meet our GPs

Dr Omar Salem

(Languages: English)

Dr Omar Salem is a General Practitioner, born and bred in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. He graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery in 2012. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has a Diploma in Child Health from The University of Sydney

He has extensive training in Paediatrics and Child Health having previously worked at both Sydney Children’s Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. He also has a wealth of experience in adult medicine, having completed two years of Basic Physician Training at Royal North Shore Hospital.

He is both friendly and efficient. He understands the importance of respecting patients’ time. His main areas of interest are Paediatrics and Child Health, Men’s Health and is an LGBTQIA+ friendly GP.

Dr Kathryn Chae

(Languages: English, Korean)

Dr Kathryn Chae is an experienced and dedicated GP who has been practicing in the Rosebery and Green Square areas since 2013. After graduating from UNSW in 2008, she obtained her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013.

Kathryn has special interests in women’s health, pregnancy care and paediatric medicine, with a wealth of knowledge in fertility, menstrual disorders and PCOS. She holds a Diploma of Child Health and Certificate in Sexual Health and Family Planning, and is registered for Antenatal Shared Care with the Royal Hospital for Women and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Additionally, Kathryn provides contraceptive implant insertion and removal, and offers a wide range of cosmetic procedures including anti-wrinkle injections, scar treatment and acne treatment.

Dr Hayley Ma

Dr Hayley Ma is a General Practitioner who grew up and completed her medical training at the University of Queensland as well as general practice training in the Sunshine State before moving to Sydney. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

She has worked at the Toowoomba Base Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Queensland Children’s Hospital across a wide variety of specialities, including but not limited to, General Medicine and Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Paediatrics.

Dr Hayley enjoys all areas of general practice, with a special interest in women’s health, antenatal care, contraception and preventative health. She is qualified to perform implanon replacements.

During her free time, Dr Hayley enjoys working on her small aquarium or spending time out in the sun.
